The Weekend Edit

The first five days after the weekend are the hardest I think. :)

Weekends are such a precious time. These past few weekends have been just sort of lazy and unplanned and to me, that is the best kind of weekend. We were able to explore a couple local antique stores that we have never been to. Last weekend we indulged in Cooper State Brewery as well as St Brendan's Inn for dinner (my favorite place in Green Bay). This weekend we explored The Creamery Downtown with my mother as well as again, going to a couple antique stores around town. My gosh, just some of my most favorite things to do!

Sundays then are for getting some things done around the house, such as cleaning and laundry. This weekend though, I accomplished a couple projects I had on my personal list. The main item I have wanted to make from my list: a watercolor painting of our house!

Now I am a little rusty as I have not broken out the brushes since the past summer, but I don't think it turned out half bad! I wanted to capture the concept of the house, my goal was not to be exactly photo realistic. That isn't the point of my watercolor work.

Why can't every day be part of a weekend where we can sleep in until 8am and accomplish our little personal projects at our leisure. This was such a relaxing weekend full of so many of my favorite things.

What did you all do this weekend??
